About Me

My life has been filled with so many exciting achievements and highlights. I have been a rodeo cowgirl, founded two charities, attended a meeting at the United Nations, and am a published author in a peer-reviewed medical journal. All these achievements and highlights are a part of who I am as a person and an artist.

I am Kelly Ann Phipps, an award-winning Canadian artist who travels to South Africa to help communities fight dog-mediated rabies while creating art. At 43, I unexpectedly suffered a heart-wrenching that profoundly changed my life. In my grief, I found solace in painting, using art as a therapeutic tool to heal myself and, in turn, heal the world around me.

My art reflects my passion for people and animals, capturing the essence and soul of whatever I paint. Using colourful acrylics, I create textured pieces that evoke warmth and personality and invite you to explore a renewed connection to the natural world. Some pieces show fun and enjoyment, while others evoke thoughtful connections between us and animals.

As someone who uses my art to show the interconnections between humans and animals, I believe we can celebrate the beauty of our world and inspire a future where both humans and animals can thrive.
